Serbia’s duo, Filip Stanojevic and Djordje Djoric advanced to the finals at the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament in Budva.

Kazakhstan’s Nurkhan Kumarbekov had to keep the full focus to beat Kyrgyzstan’s Mukhammadali Kanybekov in the first semi-final of the 50kg and he will now meet his teammate for the gold, Adil Askanbay who eliminated Romania’s Razvan Panainte.

Bulgaria always has some excellent talents in the U19 youth age group and their Yanko Iliev proved his exceptional technical skills once again after his last international appearance which means he is now a finalist at the 55kg in Budva.

Serbia’s Filip Stanojevic worked hard in the recent two years to reach the level of the best European boxers and his strong fighting spirit delivered for him a success over Kosovo’s Riad Isufi in the second semi-final at the 55kg.

Kyrgyzstan’s Kutmanbiy Muratov competed in various events through China to Kazakhstan but his opponent in the semi-finals of the 70kg, Azerbaijan’s Rza Rzayev, surprised him with effective combinations.

Bulgaria’s Maksim Kirillov eliminated one of the top Cubans at the men’s 70kg weight class and he continued his winning path against Serbia’s Nikola Jovicic, controlling most of the exchanges on Day6.

Kyrgyzstan’s Iskandar Rasulzhanov was the favourite for the title at the men’s 80kg but he suffered a loss to Serbia’s Djordje Djoric in a hectic bout. The Serbian talent will be meeting Ukraine’s Hleb Ivanchuk for the title of this strong weight class in Budva.  

Cuba sent a delegation to the Adriatic Pearl and their Julio Cesar Chibas was too smart for Bulgaria’s Nikolay Ivanov therefore the Caribbean ace will meet Azerbaijan’s Heydar Azmammadov for the gold medal at the 85kg.

Montenegro’s Vasilije Kujundzic had the fighting spirit and the stamina in his semi-final at the 90kg but Ukraine’s Vladyslav Naumenko was too experienced for him. Sweden’s Moses Bazzi, Kazakhstan’s Aidamir Sauytbek and Romania’s Denis Cucu won the last bouts of the sixth session.
