Imantayeva, Kudaigenova, Orusbayev and Castillo made the show in Budva
Kazakhstan controlled the women contests in the seventh day of boxing at the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament in Budva where the men’s semi-finals were also concluded.
Kazakhstan’s Madira Zhumakan won the first female contest in the seventh day of boxing, she dominated her 48kg fight over her teammate, Galiyabanu Gabit, winning all of the three rounds on the judges’ scorecards.
Kazakhstan’s Zhanel Imantayeva had a tougher opponent on Day7 but she defeated Zhamilya Bolatbekkyzy, an experienced opponent at the women’s 54kg weight class.
Kazakhstan’s Ramina Makhanova was energetic in all of her contests at the Adriatic Pearl where she had the tough but successful mission against Zhannur Kaldybek at the 57kg weight class.
The Asian Youth Champion Alina Kudaigenova is one of the most sensational female boxers in Budva and she had the right strategy against her Kazakh teammate, Indira Kydyrmoldayeva at the 60kg bout.
Croatia had also a great day in the women’s part of the competition, their Agata Stajcer and Lana Skupnjak both won their meetings in Budva. The first defeated Sweden’s Paradisia Smesem, the second was slightly better than Kazakhstan’s Altyngul Aimukhan.
Ukraine’s duo, Iryna Onopriyenko and Sofia Novikova both defeated their Estonian and Kazakh opponents in the heavier female weight divisions.
Kyrgyzstan’s Umar Orusbayev controlled all of the three rounds over Sweden’s Ruohin Abdulwahab in his semi-final at the men’s 60kg therefore he can meet Kazakhstan’s Daniyar Akbissenov for the title in Budva.
Austria’s Ivan Bezuhlyi impressed in all of his contests this year and he looked also powerful against Azerbaijan’s Vusal Khalilov therefore he will be meeting for the title Kazakhstan’s Akzhurek Kalabay who eliminated Montenegro’s Vuk Dabovic.
Cuba’s Raul Castillo was also better in the exchanges than Georgia’s Goga Bregvadze and he marched to the final of the men’s 75kg with great performance but he can expect a strong challenge against Ukraine’s Tymur Karaivan as next.
