Strong French girls joined the finals at the 70th Bocskai Memorial Tournament
Top female boxers such as Lilla Szeleczki, Wassila Lkhadiri, Romane Moulai, Maloe Teresi, Niamh Mitchell and Vladislava Kukhta joined the finals at the 70th Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen on Day3.
Hungary’s European U23 silver medallist Lilla Szeleczki was confident against France’s Gloria D’Almeida in the semi-finals of the women’s 48kg and she will meet for the title, Spain’s Marta Lopez.
France’s Wassila Lkhadiri she continued her winning path against Wales’ Niamh Brookes in Debrecen and she marched to the finals of the 51kg where her rival will be her teammate, Romane Moulai.
France’s Maloe Teresi had a hard opponent in the semi-finals of the 54kg, Hungary’s European elite bronze medallist Hanna Lakotar but she had the good strategy to win their meeting in Debrecen.
Hungary’s Vladislava Kukhta had strong attacks to beat England’s Vivien Parsons in a hectic semi-final which means that she can meet for the title of the 57kg weight, Szabina Szucs.
Scotland’s Niamh Mitchell was highly confident in the entire Bocskai and the European Junior Champion landed the better shots than Hungary’s Viktoria Matesz which means that’s the Scottish will meet Rebeka Dobos for the title of the 60kg.
Spain’s Dunia Martinez proved her strong development in the Bocskai and she defeated a promising Hungarian, the European Youth medallist Nora Komjathi to meet her compatriot, Lorena Lopez Mota in the final of the 70kg.
Hungary’s Istvan Szaka was dominant in his opening bout against Moldova’s Mihai Porombac at the 50kg but Netherlands’ Mahmoud Al Chabtoun, Wales’ Owain Harris-Allan and France’s Hugo Grau also delighted the session.
Azerbaijan’s Nijat Alirzayev caused the sensation of Day2 but he was stopped by France’s Olympian Makan Traore at the 70kg. Serbia’s duo as Almir Memic (75kg) and Rastko Simic (85kg) both impressed in the third day of boxing in Debrecen.
