Former two-division champion Kiko Martinez retires from boxing
Former two-division champion Kiko Martinez has announced his retirement from boxing at age of 37.
Martinez made the announcement in a video posted on social media.
“The times has come to say goodbye”, said Martinez.
Martinez often is seen as one of most accomplished Spanish fighters of all time.
He won world title in super bantam weight and featherweight. Martinez one 44 professional fights (31 KO), lost 12 times and drew twice.
His last fight was in Japan against Reiya Abe, fight which he lost by unanimous decision.
