Usyk weighs in 5.6 kg lighter than Dubois
Defending world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk weighed 5.6 kg lighter than British challenger Daniel Dubois.
Usyk will fight Dubois on Saturday in Wroclaw, Poland.
Usyk, who is defending his WBA “Super”, WBO, IBF and IBO titles, was 100.2 kilograms on Friday at official weigh in. It was near the same as he weighed in his last fight two fights against Anthony Joshua.
Dubois was 105.8 kilograms, which was lighter than his recent fights, including win against Kevin Lerena.
Dubois is known for his punching power and Usyk is renowned for his movement and footwork in ring, so will be a clash of styles.
Usyk said that he may not be “heavy like Daniel” but that “I have heart”.
Usyk has record of 20 wins in as much professional fights. Dubois is 19-1.
