The 43rd Tammer Tournament will be held in Tampere on November 23-27

The next 43^rd edition of the Tammer Tournament will be held for the elite women and men boxers on November 23-27 in Tampere, Finland.

The first competition day of the Tammer Tournament is November 24 and the finals are scheduled to be held on November 26.

The new Tammer Tournament will be held in all of the six women and seven men Olympic weight categories in Tampere.

It is easy to reach the city of Tampere by plane, by train or from the harbour for the teams and it has easy connections with the capital city of Finland, Helsinki.

Tampere is one of the most attractive cities in Finland with more than 1 million visitors, athletes and congress members per year.

The venue of the traditional competition is the Pyynikki Sports Hall as in the previous years in the busy city of Tampere and the accommodation is the Hotel Scandic Rosendahl.

The Tammer Tournament was launched in 1977 and the city of Tampere hosted the AIBA Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships in 1993. Tampere was the host of the 2000 edition of the European Men’s Elite Boxing Championships and qualification events.

The 41^st Tammer Tournament opened the year in January 2022 which was postponed from October 2021. The next 42^nd Tammer Tournament was held 10 months later on November 10-14. It was the very first time in the history of the event when two editions of the Tammer Tournament took place in one year. 

The registered countries of the last edition of the Tammer Tournament were from four Confederations: Belgium, Brazil, Cape Verde, England, Estonia, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, and Wales.
