Mikaelyan new WBC World Cruiser champion

Armenian born Noel Mikaelyan (27-2) is the new WBC World champion in cruiserweight. Mikaeylan on Saturday night in Miami stopped Ilunga Junior Makabu (29-4) in third round in the fight for vacant title.

It was first title fight for Mikaelyan and he made most of it.

Title became vacant after Badou Jack opted not to fight Mikaelyan.

The show on Saturday was promoted by famous promoter Don King.

In undercard Cassius Chaney (23-1) KO’d former world champion Trevor Bryan (22-2) in seventh round.
