Angelo Pena wins IBO Continental title

Angelo Pena (8-0) won the first title in his professional boxing career.

29-year-old on December 26 in Berne, Switzerland stopped former world-title challenger Sofiane Takoucht (37-6-1) of France in fifth round, thus becoming IBO Continental champion in super-featherweight division.

Pena dominated the fight and in fifth round he KO’d Takoucht with body-head combination.

In undercard of the show promoted by Leander Strupler, where two other title fights.

Gabriela Timar (10-1) won IBO Inter-Continental title in light-flyweight division, beating by unanimous decision Pimchanok Thepjanda (8-4) of Thailand.

Laura Wollenmann (9-1), Colombian living in Switzerland, had much tougher work. She defended her WBO International title in flyweight, beating Clothilde Del Ben (5-3) of France by majority decision.

Judge Thomas Walser scored the fight as draw, 95:95, and two other judges Mikael Hook (96:94) and Sven Graefe (98:92) gave the win to Laura Wollenann.

Czech Lukas Dekys (12-0) continued to impress. He beat clear on points local fighter Alfred Kqira (9-2) in an 8-rounder fight.

Christopher Mouafo (8-1) made fast work, stopping Yoni Blanco (16-5) of Venezuela in second round.
