Breidis to fight Ramirez for vacant IBF cruiserweight title
Latvian Mairis Breidis (28-2) will fight Gilberto Ramirez (45-1) of Mexico for vacant IBF World title in cruiserweight.
Title became vacant after champion Jai Opetaia relinquished it to fight Elis Zorro on December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
IBF announced that purse bid for fight Breidis – Ramirez will take place on January 16.
Breidis last fought on July 2022, when he lost the IBF title to Jai Opetaia.
Ramirez’s last fight was on October last year. He won clear on points against Joe Smith Jr.
