Drabik and Nakota won gold medals in the female finals of the Bocskai Memorial

Poland, Ukraine, Mongolia, Hungary, and Switzerland shared the women’s titles at the 68th edition of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament in Debrecen on Day4.

Ukraine’s World Championships competitor Olha Shalimova earned the first title of the Bocskai Memorial Tournament, the 23-year-old boxer defeated Hungary’s Lilla Szeleczki at the women’s minimumweight (48kg) final.

Poland impressed in the whole competition, their best female boxers made a fantastic day in the Bocskai Memorial Tournament. Natalia Kuczewska defeated Hungary’s Petra Mezei in the battle of the youngsters while her compatriot Julia Szeremeta also triumphed over a local boxer, Szabina Szucs at the featherweight (57kg).

Poland’s former European Games silver medallist veteran Sandra Drabik landed the better shots in the women’s bantamweight (54kg) final against Mongolia’s World silver medallist Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg. Her teammate, the European silver medallist Aneta Rygielska defeated also a Mongolian boxer, Ganzorig Badmaarag at the welterweight (66kg).

The Mongolians bagged finally two gold medals in the women’s part of the Bocskai Memorial, the Paris Olympian Yesugen Oyuntsetseg (52kg) and Namuun Monkhor (60kg) succeeded in the day of the finals against Hungarian and Ukrainian rivals.

Hungary’s returning veteran Bianka Nagy enjoyed a comfortable success over Ukraine’s Anastasia Saraniuk at the light middleweight (70kg) following the several silver medals of the host nation’s boxers.

Hungary’s new sensation, Veronika Nakota had a superb performance in the final of the women’s middleweight (75kg), the ex-Ukrainian European Youth Champion made aggressive attacks against Poland’s No.1 Elzbieta Wojcik and she succeeded in the front of the crowd.

Kazakhstan’s Asian Championships silver medallist Daniyal Sabit (51kg), Kenzhe Muratuly (57kg), the former Asian Youth Champion Biybars Zheksen (60kg), Sabyrzhan Akkalykov (71kg) and Yerassyl Zhakpekov (80kg) all won their male semi-final contests on Day4.
