The 61st Belgrade Winner Tournament will take place in Serbia on March 12-18
The 61st Belgrade Winner Tournament will be held in Serbia’s capital on March 12-18 and the registrations are open for all of the National Federations.
Serbia’s main international event has scheduled for the elite women and men boxers as in the recent editions. The 61st Belgrade Winner Tournament will be held for all of the 12 female and 13 male weight classes.
Belgrade was the host of the last edition of the Men’s Elite World Boxing Championships on October-November 2021 and the city will organize the annual European Elite Boxing Championships on April.
Eighteen countries earned at least one medal at the last 60th edition of the Belgrade Winner Tournament in Serbia. Eight countries bagged the titles of the competition including Russia, Serbia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, France, Spain, Italy and Croatia. Serbia’s duo, Omer Ametovic and Milena Matovic won the awards of the Belgrade Winner Tournament.
The total number of the boxers was 189 in the 60th Belgrade Winner Tournament and all of the five Confederations sent their teams to Serbia. Russia’s Elena Gapeshina and Brazil’s Wanderson Oliveira were named as the best foreign boxers in the competition.
The participating nations were the following in Belgrade last year: Algeria, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Chinese Taipei.
