Baraou new EBU European champion

Abass Baraou (15-1) is the new EBU European super-welterweight champion. Baraou on Friday night in Telford, UK defeated the Britain’s Sam Eggington (34-9) for vacant EBU European title.

Baraou won the fight by majority decision. Judges Jean-Robert Laine (117:111) and Mika Lindgren (117:112) saw Baraou as clear winner, and judge Freddy Rafn scored the bout as draw (114:114).

It was the main event of show promoted by Wasserman Boxing.
