Zepeda stops Hughes, becomes mandatory challenger for WBA and IBF titles
Mexico’s William Zepeda Segura (30-0, 26 KO’s) has become new mandatory challenger for WBA and IBF world titles in lightweight division.
Zepeda on March 16 in Las Vegas stopped Britain’s, Maxi Hughes (26-7-2) in an eliminator fight.
After four rounds, Hughes’ corner decided to end the fight. Zepeda landed total 161 punches from 408 thrown.
Following his victory, Zepeda let it be known that he’s ready to fight whoever — whether Gervonta Davis, Shakur Stevenson or the winner of the upcoming Vasiliy Lomachenko-George Kambosos fight.
