Alvarez new EBU champion in super-bantamweight

Tania Alvarez (11-1) is the new EBU European super-bantamweight champion. Alvarez on Saturday night (April 13) in Castellbisbal won against Marcia Cecchi (10-3) of Italy by unanimous decision to claim the vacant EBU title.

All three judges scored the fight in favor of Alvarez (96:94).

Alvarez is aiming for world title fight in near future.
