Berinchyk new WBO World lightweight champion

Ukraine’s Denys Berinchyk (19-0) is the new WBO World lightweight champion. Berinchyk on Saturday night in San Diego defeated Emanuel Navarrete for vacant WBO World title. Berinchyk won by split decision.

Two judges scored the fight in favor of Berinchyk (115:113 and 116:112) and one scored in favor of Navarrete (116:112).

In undercard Brian Norman Jr (26-0) won WBO Interim World welterweight title, stopping Giovani Santillan (32-1) in tenth round.
