Joshua vs. Dubois for IBF World title on September 21
Anthony Joshua (28-3) will face Daniel Dubois (21-2) on September 21 at Wembley Stadium for IBF World heavyweight title.
Undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk announced that he vacated the IBF belt, so Dubois was upgraded from IBF Interim champion to IBF champion.
“I went out to watch his last fight… Dubois has been on my mind for a while and he will be for the next 12 weeks,” Joshua said at press conference.
For Joshua will be chance to win a world heavyweight title for the third time.
Dubois said that he is ready to stop Joshua.
“I’m aiming to be the best. AJ (Joshua) has been the King for a long time but on the night I need to be the ‘King slayer’. That’s the goal, the mission I have,” Dubois said at the news conference.
“I’m ready to let my fists do the talking. I’m 100% ready to go and to train like a beast.”
On press conference on Wednesday was announced also the full card of the event which will be co-promotion of Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren.
Tyler Denny (19-2-3) will fight Hamzah Sheeraz (20-0) for EBU European middleweight title.
Anthony Cacae (22-1) will defend his IBF and IBO World super-featherweight titles against Josh Warrington (31-3-1).
Liam Smith (34-4-1) will fight Josh Kelly (15-1-1) in a 12 rounder middleweight fight.
Joshua Buatsi (18-0) will face Willy Hutchinson (18-1) for WBO Interim World light-heavyweight title.
And Mark Chamberlain (16-0) will be up against Josh Padley (14-0) in a lightweight fight.
