Martinez defeats Ioka, unifies IBF and WBA titles

Argentina’s Fernando Daniel Martinez (17-0) defeated Japan’s Kazuto Ioka (31-3-1) on Sunday in Kokugikan, thus unifying IBF and WBA world titles in super-flyweight.

For IBF champion Martinez was first time since June last year.

Martinez was in control of very entertaining fight and in the end all three judges saw him as winner. The scorecards were 117:111, 120:108 and 116:112 in favor of Martinez.
