The International Youth Training Camp will start in Montenegro on October 5

Montenegro’s boxing city, Budva will host an important youth international training camp in October 5-20 in order to prepare for the Youth World Boxing Championships.

Mr. Aleksandr Klemenko, the President of Montenegro Boxing, took the next edition of the Youth World Boxing Championships to Budva which will be held after the international training camp between October 20 and November 4.

The beautiful city of Budva hosted already European Men’s Elite Cup, European Youth Boxing Championships, European Women’s Boxing Championships, European U22 Boxing Championships, the Adriatic Pearl Youth World Cup but the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships will be their first global event in Montenegro.

Montenegro’s boxing life turned to a new era a few years ago and the small country produced European Champions, medallists and a Paris Olympian within short period of time.

Boxers who were born in 2006 and in 2007, are eligible to participate in the international training camp and in the championships in Budva.

The female youth boxers will be able to attend in the training camp and also in the championships in 12 categories at the 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg weight classes.

The male youth boxers can enter to the camp and the event at the 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg weight classes.

The accommodation of the training camp is the 4-stars Hotel Aleksandar which has 187 rooms and the training venue is only 15 minutes by walking. The beach of the Adriatic Sea, Budva Old Town and all of the main sightseeing are only in walking distance from the hotel.

The Boxing Association of Montenegro will provide transportation for all participants from the nearest international airports to the hotel.
