Great day for the Australian juniors at the German U17 Open

The management of the German Boxing Federation decided to increase their activities and their new competition, the German U17 International Open Tournament continued in Lindow with its second competition day.

The local organizers divided the competition day into three sessions and altogether 29 bouts concluded on Day2.

Netherlands’ lone female boxer in the German U17 International Open, Liz Thijssen defeated Germany’s Joelle Heuer at the women’s featherweight (57kg) on Day1 and she looked more confident against Czech Republic’s Nela Prochazkova today, stopping her opponent.

The women’s featherweight (57kg) is a strong category in Lindow and one of the best German hopes in this age group, Lorin Sayim subdued her national rival, Joelle Heuer, controlling all of the exchanges.

Australia’s Belle Spicer is one of the new sensations in the women’s junior boxing, she exceeded all of her previous levels of boxing and she won her next contest against Germany’s Junior National Champion Cinnia Hoffmann.

Katerina Marynets has Ukrainian roots but she represents the Czech Republic and she was not only brave against Germany’s Sophia Illenseer but she had the stamina to win their close lightweight (60kg) bout.

Australia’s Wesley George enjoyed his first bout out of his homeland and he defeated a strong Ukrainian, Anatoliy Talko at the men’s bantamweight (54kg) following that an Aussie girl, Seanadh-Leigh McEleney also won her contest.

Denmark’s Rida Al-Tamimi continued the family traditions and he had the skills to beat Germany’s Botan Akman at the men’s flyweight (50kg). The next two Danish juniors such as Yasin Khdeir and Hassan Kaddoura both were eliminated at the lightweight (60kg).

Australia’s top male junior boxers, Thomas Haworth (60kg) and Judd Alderton (66kg) beat their German rivals with their strength and motivation.

The next Australians such as Santino Brigante (52kg), Bailey Goiris (52kg), Zyler Feenan (57kg) and Luke Nassif (70kg) all won their contests on Day2.
