The next generation of Polish boxers won titles at the 39th Feliks Stamm Memorial Tournament

The next generation of Polish boxers were outstanding in the fourth and last competition day of the 39^th edition of the Feliks Stamm Memorial Tournament in Kielce.

Kielce was the host of the 2021 edition of the Youth World Boxing Championships as well.

Mr. Feliks Stamm was a legendary boxing coach in Poland who built up fantastic teams in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Ukraine’s Olha Shalimova is an experienced female minimumweight (48kg) boxer who competed several European and World events in the recent seven years. The Ukrainian defeated a younger Hungarian, Lilla Szeleczki in the last day of boxing using her speed advantage.

Sandra Drabik moved up to the women’s featherweight (57kg) but she triumphed over Karolina Ampulska unanimously in Kielce. Sandra Kruk, the next of the Polish veteran girls, used up her 16 years of international experience to beat Trinidad & Tobago’s Tianna Guy at the women’s lightweight (60kg).

Hungary’s two-time European Youth Champion Veronika Nakota competed at the light heavyweight (81kg) in Kielce instead of the middleweight (75kg) but she succeeded in the day of the finals against Trinidad & Tobago’s Eyed George.

The next generation of the Polish top boxers such as Nikolas Pawlik (54kg), Jakub Krzpiet (57kg) and Pawel Brach (60kg) all won their contests in the fourth competition day against their main local rivals.

Poland’s Bartlomiej Roskowicz, the Youth World medallist, competed in the Qualification events and those big events supported his progress. The Polish boxer had the speed and the skills to beat Lithuania’s veteran Edgaras Skurdelis in the last competition day and the 20-year-old youngster felt the support of the crowd.

Cezary Znamiec had tough battles with the two-time Olympian Damian Durkacz in the recent two years and he developed rapidly in his homeland. The Polish light middleweight (71kg) boxer outpointed Azerbaijan’s Nabi Isgandarov in the last competition day, delighting all of the local fans in Kielce.
