Mr. Ray Silvas leads the important R&J Seminar before the Belt & Road Youth Festival

There is not any stoppage in China’s boxing life, their new project, the Belt & Road International Youth Boxing Festival is underway in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province.

Before the competition, the management of the Chinese Boxing Federation, and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Municipal Government arranged a Referee & Judge Seminar in Urumqi.

The level of the judging increased in the recent Olympics but the standardization is important before such main events as the Belt & Road Youth Boxing Festival.

The 1^st Belt & Road Youth Boxing Festival was held on December 2023 and the 2^nd is running with its training camp and R&J Seminar.

The President of the Chinese Boxing Federation, Mr. Chen Liren, their world famous international official and Technical Delegate Mrs. Liang Yuan asked United States’ best Instructor, Mr. Ray Silvas to lead another seminar in China before the competition.

Mr. Fu Xinyu, the Deputy Director of Xinjiang Boxing Sports Management Center, Mrs. Liang Yuan, Mr. Jiao Subin, the Director of Youth Promotion Department of Chinese Boxing Association, Mr. Mijiti Abuduxikeer, the Director of the Xinjiang Boxing Sports Management Center, Mr. Alimujiang Aihemaiti, the Director of Sports Science Research Institute of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Mr. Zhu Zhenghui, the Party Secretary of Xinjiang Sports Technical College all attended in the Opening Ceremony of the R&J Seminar.

The main goals of the R&J Seminar are the better understanding of the amateur boxing rules, apply knowledge in correct circumstances, to standardize procedures worldwide, to obtain better results in all of the competitions and to gain knowledge for the future events.

Nearly 200 applicants are participating in the Referee & Judge Seminar in Urumqi where boxing is one of the traditional sports.

The Referee & Judge Seminar started today and will be held until October 4 to increase the level of the R&Js and introduce the new rules for them.
