The Boxam Youth-Junior-Schoolboys-Schoolgirls Tournament will open with 39 contests today

After the Enrique Rodriguez Cal Memorial Tournament, the Boxam Youth-Junior-Schoolboys-Schoolgirls Tournament is the next main international competition in Spain.

The Royal Spanish Boxing Federation’s event will start in their unique venue, in La Nucia, Alicante region with 39 bouts today.

The 2008 and the 2009 age group for both genders competed in the junior age group in La Nucia. The 2006 and 2007 born boxers were eligible to attend in the youth level of boxing and for the very first time in the event’s history, the 2010 and 2011 age group, the schoolboys and the schoolgirls are also able to compete in the Boxam.

The number of the youth women is 21 and the youth men is 57 in the new edition of the Boxam Tournament. The number of the junior women is also 21, while 46 junior men will be competing for the medals in La Nucia. Additionally 4 schoolgirls and 24 schoolboys increases the total number of boxers up to 173 in Spain.

Bulgaria, Colombia, England, France, Georgia, Iceland, Latvia, Mexico, Romania, Spain, Tunisia, and Wales sent their strong teams to the Boxam Tournament.

The venue of the Boxam Youth-Junior-Schoolboys-Schoolgirls Tournament is in La Nucia but the teams can enjoy the superb Melia Hotel in Benidorm as the accommodation.

The Technical Delegate of the new edition of the Boxam Youth-Junior-Schoolboys-Schoolgirls Tournament is Mr. Viorel Sima of Romania.

The competition will open with its first contests today in the venue at 16:00 and the bouts will be live streamed through the YouTube channel of the Royal Spanish Boxing Federation.
