IBF orders Beterbiev – Eifert and Opetaia vs Cinkara

International Boxing Federation have ordered the undisputed light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs) to face the mandatory challenger Michael Eifert (13-1) of Germany.

IBF told the teams to begin negotiations for the fight. The mandatory fight could delay the rematch between Dmitry Bivol and Beterbiev.

Eifert won the eliminator fight against former world champion Jean Pascal of Canada last year.

IBF also ordered the cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (26-0) to face Turkish-german boxer Husein Cinkara (22-0).

Cinkara won the eliminator fight stopping Kosovo’s Armend Xhoxhaj in round two of the contest on April 27 this year.
