Greece’s Georgios Pleas is on his family’s pathways after beating his Puerto Rican opponent at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva on Session 12.
Greece’s promising youth boxer Georgios Pleas was born in the boxing gym due to his father’s work and he fall in love to our sport as a small child. The Greek had fantastic footwork and nice counter-punches in his Round of 32 bout and he dominated all of the exchanges against Puerto Rico’s Diego Nieves.
Uzbekistan’s Samandar Olimov is one of the top boxers in their youth national team and he proved his very best against Colombia’s Yabian Andrey Zuniga. DPR Korea’s Ri Hyok won his second contest in Budva today, he eliminated Kosovo’s Lumturim Xhoxhaj in the next featherweight (57kg) preliminary.

Kazakhstan’s Zhanseri Kosherbayev won the next battle in this weight class, he eliminated Slovenia’s Nikola Mihailovic.
Armenia’s Erik Arstamyan controlled the exchanges against Slovakia’s Tobias Zelenak and he was better in all aspects of boxing in their featherweight (57kg) contest. The Albanians have their strongest ever youth squad in Budva where Bujar Hekuri continued their winning path against Moldova’s Volodymyr Melenchuk.
Georgia’s Samvel Kazaryan, IBA neutral’s Shay O’Dowd, Cuba’s Javier Rawlins and Uzbekistan’s favourite Akmaljon Isroilov all smashed their rivals very quickly and joined the next stage of boxing at the cruiserweight (86kg).
