Historic moments in the evening session

Poland, Tunisia, France, Iran, China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan all impressed at the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva, Montenegro during the evening session.

Russia’s Sofia Molchanova was involved to the national team in 2021 as a schoolgirl and she had the advantage in routine against Tunisia’s 17-year-old Molka Khalifi in their lightweight (60kg) semi-final. The Tunisian turned up the heat in time to turn back their semi-final and due to her great second and third rounds, she eliminated Molchanova.

China’s 17-year-old Abudureyimu Alimire is the defending Asian Youth Champion at the light middleweight (70kg) and she used her longer reach and footwork well enough to beat Colombia’s Melanis Perez. Islem Nadari secured the next medal for Tunisia, she stopped Morocco’s Niama Bousellam in this weight class with strong punches.

Poland’s European Youth Champion Julia Oles moved forward from the first seconds and she caught Bulgaria’s Aleyna Mehmed with heavy jabs. Oles dominated this light heavyweight (81kg) bout and she bagged a medal for Poland but Kazakhstan’s Aruzhan Zeinollayeva also won a tough bout against a Russian talent.

France’s Djamel Djemmal began boxing at the age of 8 and he used his jabs strongly against Poland’s Wadim Konszewicz, additionally his footwork was fantastic today and he achieved his career highlight.

Poland’s Fabian Urbanski, their Junior World Champion, is a medallist once again, he bowed out Israel’s Ahmad Jabarin at the middleweight (75kg).

Seychelles’ Jade Micock is their first boxer in the quarter-finals in such a big event as the Youth World Boxing Championships but China’s Rehemanjiang Refukaiti stopped his march today.

Kazakhstan’s two-time Asian Champion Sanzhar-Ali Begaliyev made the show against Cuba’s Yurisniel Abreu and he is a semi-finalist at the middleweight (75kg).

Kyrgyzstan’s Tynystan Alybayev and Uzbekistan’s Khalimjon Mamasoliyev both won their heavyweight (92kg) semi-finals by RSCs.
