The Balkan Boxing Championships starts in Loznica today

The Balkan Boxing Championships will start in Loznica, Serbia today and sixteen bouts are scheduled to be held in the opening day of boxing.

Altogether 190 female and male boxers are participating in the new edition of the Balkan Boxing Championships in three age groups: junior, youth and elite.

Albania, Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine are the participating 13 countries in the Balkan Boxing Championships.

There is not any rest day in the Balkan Boxing Championships in Loznica where the junior finals will be held on November 21, the youth title contests on the 22nd and the elites will finalize the competition on the 23rd.

The men’s junior and youth boxers will be in action in the first day of boxing in Loznica which is located in the Western part of Serbia.

The Youth World Boxing Championships have just finished in Budva two weeks ago but the next big event approached and several of those participants are there in Loznica as well.

North Macedonia’s Adrijan Rustemovski and Albania’s Stiven Xixi both have the experiences from the annual major championships. Their youth bantamweight (54kg) contest on Day1 could be a great start for the Balkan Boxing Championships.

Ukraine’s strong Maksym Zymenko and Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Petar Sredojevic will meet in the next youth bantamweight (54kg) battle on Day1. Albania’s Besian Karaj surprised the boxing fans in Budva and he will be also in action in the opening day.

Serbia’s aces in women’s boxing such as the Paris Olympian Sara Cirkovic and the European Champion Kristina Kuluhova both are on the board at the Balkan Boxing Championships.

Bulgaria’s defending European Champion and Paris Olympian Rami Kiwan will also return to the actions in this event in Loznica.
