Pulev new WBA heavyweight champion

Kubrat Pulev (32-3) is the new WBA “regular” heavyweight champion.

Pulev on Saturday night in Sofia, Bulgaria defeated Mahmoud Charr (34-5) via unanimous decision. 43-year-old dominated the fight and in the end all three judges saw him as winner (117:111, 117:111 and 116:112).

Kubrat Pulev showed respect to Charr after fight.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Charr for accepting this fight in my homeland and in my hometown. It takes a lot of guts, a lot of courage to agree to such a match. Char was a worthy opponent and together we made a match for history”, Pulev wrote on Facebook.
