The Brandenburg Youth Cup will take place in Germany between July 29 and August 3
The Brandenburg Youth Cup will be held short after the Cologne Boxing World Cup for the U19 boxers between July 29 and August 3.
Germany hosted the Brandenburg U19 Cup and the Lindow U17 international tournaments in 2024 with successes.
Boxers who were born in 2007 or in 2008 will be eligible to participate in the upcoming international competition which could be preparation for the main events.
The women’s athletes will be boxing at the 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg and +80kg weight classes.
The men’s boxers will able to compete in the following categories: 50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg and +90kg.
The competition will return to Frankfurt an der Oder where all of the facilities, the hotels and the training opportunities are world class.
The German Boxing Association will arrange a pre-training camp for the U19 boxers before the Brandenburg Youth Cup from July 25 until the 29th.
The first edition of the Brandenburg Youth Cup was held in 1996 and such stars as France’s duo, Jerome Thomas and Willy Blain, furthermore two top Germans, Adnan Catic and Sebastian Koeber earned the gold medals.
England impressed in the last edition of the Brandenburg Youth Cup in 2024 and the strong boxing nation could be on the top in the upcoming event as well.
