Nunez defeats Diaz, defends IBF title

Eduardo Nunez (29-1, 27 KOs) defended his IBF World super-featherweight title, defeating on Saturday night in Mexico, Christopher Diaz-Velez (30-6, 19 KOs) via unanimous decision.

Nunez dropped Diaz twice in round seven. In the end all three judges saw him as clear winner (117:109, 117:109 and 116:110).

For Nunez was first title defense. He won the title on May 28 this year, beating Masanori Rikiishi in Yokohama via unanimous decision.
