Navarro Jr. wins another title, Sandor Martin returns with victory

Super-middle Jose Luis Navarro Jr (17-2), reigning EBU Silver champ, added the vacant WBA Ibero-American interim title to his collection by knocking out Colombian Alexi Rivera (13-6) in the first round on December 19 in San Sebastian de Los Reyes, Spain.

Navarro Jr will next defend the EBU Silver title against Damian Biacho (20-1) on February 28 in Spain. Exact site is not announced yet.

On December 20 in Bilbao, WBC number three, super-lightweight Sandor Martin (43-4), won a unanimous decision over Ukrainian Yanis Kurylenko (14-2) in an eight-rounder that headlined a BCN Promotion at the Bilbao Arena.  Reports from the fight indicate that Kurylenko gave Martin a solid workout.
