Montenegro is ready to host the next European U19 Boxing Championships

The President of the Boxing Association of Montenegro, Mr. Alexander Klemenko supports the idea to host the European U19 Boxing Championships in Budva this year.

The calendar of events is very busy for the U19 boxers with the World Boxing Future Cup, World Boxing U19 Championships, and the Youth Olympic Games but a planned European U19 Boxing Championships would support the continent’s boxers to develop.

Out of the continents, the Asian Boxing will host the Asian U19 Boxing Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia this July together with the U23 age group.

Boxers of the 2008 and 2009 age groups are important for all of the National Federations worldwide as these young talents could be already there also in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics as elites.

Montenegro’s next event, the prestigious Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament for the U19 youth boxers will take place in Budva, Montenegro on March 2-12 and the registrations are open for all of the National Federations.

The Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament is one of the strongest competitions for the 17 and 18-year-old boxers and all of the top boxing nations are expected to participate on it.

The international pre-tournament camp for the U19 boxers will start in Budva on February 18 and will be lasting until March 1 in order to prepare together for the event.

Montenegro is very busy hosting international events and their next top competition will be the Youth World Boxing Cup, the 35^th Adriatic Pearl this March which will follow their Elite Montenegro Cup in the boxing city of Budva on March 13-22.

The Boxing Association of Montenegro hosted also the recent European U15 Boxing Championships with a great success and the boxing city of Budva is ready to host further top events this year as the European U17 Boxing Championships in October.
