Amazing U15, U17 and U19 finals at the Dracula Open Tournament
Several top quality U15, U17 and U19 finals were held at the 5th Dracula Open Tournament in Ploiesti, Romania on Day5.
One of the top non-elite competitions in the world, the Dracula Open is taking place for the U15, U17 and U19 boxers in the city of Ploiesti
Serbia’s Nina Damjanovic made a remarkable performance against Ukraine’s Oleksandra Mazhura at the 46kg final, but her teammates among the U15 boxers, such as Anabella Todorovic and Mia Topic also earned gold medals in Ploiesti.
Hungary’s European U15 silver medallist Vivien Varga had a tough semi-final on Day3, but she had a technician performance against Ukraine’s Daria Kazmiruk at the 54kg, while Tetiana Zvenihorodska and Ariana Ponomarova also impressed in the youngest age group.
Latvia’s Kirils Volosovs opened the U15 male finals with a superb success over Romania’s Ezel Ion, which was followed by Moldova’s promising David Spak against Hungary’s Martin Homai at the 52kg final.
Hungary’s European U15 medallist Bohdan Pankovics not only defeated Romania’s Raimond Osvat at the 60kg final, but he earned one of the awards in Ploiesti. Ukraine’s duo, such as Rostyslav Dernovyi and Oleksii Bobruiko also amazed in their U15 final bouts.
Israel’s U15 talents, Natanael Shkolnik and Ahmad Majid achieved U15 titles in the Dracula Open where Romania’s Auras Ioan Cantar, David Aurelian Popescu, Yannis Popa and Richard Oghinciuc delighted the home crowd.
Bulgaria’s Valya Nikolaeva, Romania’s Alexia Stoica, Kazakhstan’s Bekmurat Gulbanu, Ukraine’s Asia Tkachenko, Kazakhstan’s Alina Kozhevnikova and Ukraine’s Diana Kemska won the best finals among the U17 girls.
Hungary’s U19 trio, as Lilla Dobondi (48kg), Patricia Petriman (51kg) and the European U17 runner-up Zsofia Kiss (57kg) all bagged gold medals with top performance.
Brazil’s Sabrina Lima (54kg), and Carolina Silva (60kg) dominated their U19 final bouts but Slovakia’s European U17 Champion Karolina Kollarova also had the skills to win her title contest over a local opponent.
