Turkmenistan’s Abdyrasul Arslanov caused the main sensation in Bangkok on Day4

Turkmenistan’s Abdyrasul Arslanov eliminated a top Kazakh boxer and he caused the main sensation at the World Boxing U19 Future Cup in Bangkok on Day4.

Canada’s Lisandro Rebelo was too smart for Libya’s Emran Bawi while Japan’s Ryusei Kitamura also dominated his contest over Saudi Arabia’s Naif Ghazwani in the next 55kg preliminary bout.

Turkmenistan’s Abdyrasul Arslanov won one preliminary contest in the Asian Youth Games last October but he proved his amazing progress against Kazakhstan’s favourite Edige Nurgozha, causing a top sensation in Bangkok.

Spain’s Manuel Bueno delivered the next surprise in the event when he eliminated Thailand’s local hero, Banditpong Chotenok at the 55kg. New Zealand’s Motekiai Huni also exceeded the previous expectations with his success over Philippines’ Jefferson Amaya.   

Benin had sensational performance and unexpected successes in the previous competition days and their Prince Agbetome won a seriously tight contest against Ukraine’s Oleksii Kolbaia.

Germany’s Calvin Mattern had a rival from China, Fu Jiaheng but he had the perfect strategy today. The German was able to keep his outstanding rhythm until the last gong and he eliminated one of the top Asian opponents at the 55kg.

Kyrgyzstan’s Asian Junior Champion Akhmadi Arvaz won more than 50% of his international contests by RSCs or KOs. The 17-year-old Kyrgyz boy had a warm-up against Czechia’s Jan Sykora and he won their 70kg contest by unanimous decision.

Hungary’s Levente Turos controlled the first exchanges against Saudi Arabia’s Ziyad Al-Shehri and he knocked down his Asian opponent twice in the first minute. The second was a heavy one and the referee stopped their 70kg bout immediately after 60 seconds.

Japan’s Akira Uekubo, Thailand’s Thitiphan Khamrae, Romania’s Ionut Calugar, Kazakhstan’s Arman Myrsabit, India’s Ambekar Lairenlakpam, Uzbekistan’s Abdugani Yorkinjonov, New Zealand’s Dean Hurikawa and Ukraine’s Mykhailo Sydorenko became the first quarter-finalists in Bangkok.
