Kazakhstan’s Alua Balkybekova is the next World Champion boxer at the women’s 51kg and as expected, she controlled her contest against South Korea’s Mun Ga Yeon therefore she needs also only one step to the medal in Liverpool.
India’s No.1 in the squad, Nikhat Zareen is also World Champion, which made the 51kg as one of the strongest categories in Liverpool, and she also secured her place in the quarter-finals after beating Japan’s Yuna Nishinaka.
Poland’s Aneta Rygielska moved back to the 60kg and she looked fast and energetic against United States’ Jajaira Gonzalez which means that she will now meet Japan’s Ayaka Taguchi for the medal in Liverpool.
The Dominican Republic’s Olympic medallist Junior Alcantara controlled his contest against a refugee, Omid Ahmadisafa and after that another 2004 born pugilist, Spain’s Rafael Lozano won the next preliminary bout over Italy’s Tommaso Sciacca.
