German SES Boxing has two fighters ranked number one in world rankings

German promotion company SES Boxing has two fighters ranked number one, one by the IBF and one by the WBO.

At light heavyweight Michael Eifert (13-1) has been in this position since 2023 when he beat Jean Pascal and has just fought once since. However, according to a press release from SES the IBF is finally pushing its champ, Dmitry Bivol, to make a mandatory defense. When and where and even it will happen is open.

At cruiserweight Roman Fress (23-1) is new at number one with the WBO where he probably has to wait for a while as champ Gilbert Ramirez first has a defense lined up against Robin Safar and the big title unification against David Benavidez.
