Petriman and Rovira started strongly at the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament

The 20^th Silesian Women’s Open Tournament opened with 12 contests in Gliwice, Poland where Patricia Petriman and Josefin Rovira both won their bouts unanimously.  

The new 20^th edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament has a strong brand name in Europe.

The new edition of the Silesian Women’s Open Tournament is a preparation event for the upcoming European U23 Boxing Championships, the Asian Youth Games, the European U17 Boxing Championships and the European U19 Boxing Championships.

Italy’s Kesia Reale was a quarter-finalist at the 2024 European Junior Championships and she is still in the U17 age group this year. The Italian 54kg boxer defeated Kazakhstan’s Adelaida Sadvakassova in a superb contest, proving her talent once again.

Czech Republic’s Sabina Vochova competed in Slovakia, in Sweden, in Slovenia, in Croatia and other countries during her career and she had the routine to beat Poland’s Maja Krzeminska, finishing this U17 contest in the second round.

Kazakhstan’s Zhadyra Kaltay won the strong Ibraimov Prizes Tournament in the beginning of the year and she had the strength to beat Poland’s Nadia Formela in the next top contest of the session.

Germany’s Josefin Rovira Rifaterra claimed a silver medal at the Brandenburg Youth Cup one month ago and she continued her strong performance in Gliwice where she bowed out Hungary’s Virag Ramocsa at the 51kg.

Hungary’s European Junior medallist Patricia Petriman dominated the first round against Poland’s Oksana Smaliana and the 17-year-old boxer was able to keep the best rhythm until the last gong to win their 51kg meeting by large margin of difference.

Poland’s Aleksandra Cyrek joined the elite national team and she had the perfect performance against a neutral boxer, Megan De Cler to win their contest on Day1.
