Youngsters shined in the opening day of the Golden Girl

Several of the youngsters shined in the new 16th edition of the Golden Girl Box Cup in Boras, Sweden today which is a record-breaking event as the start of the new year.

Belgium, Canada, Cape Verde, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Nepal, the Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, host Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States have registered boxers to the annual Golden Girl.

Sweden’s 60kg boxer, Lilli Arman turned to elite only this January but she looked confident against England’s Georgie Wilson from the first seconds and the 18-year-old talent made a strong start at the Golden Girl.

England’s defending European U15 Champion Leona Anaman joined the U17 age group only this month but she had the better techniques than Denmark’s Ronja Eriksen which was a top contest in Ring D.

England’s Ruby White is U19 World Champion, multiple European Champion and she made a successful debut among the elite boxers after beating Canada’s Jade Delgado at the 51kg.

Spain’s Andrea Buelga Garcia will be turning 17 later this year and she was dominant against Sweden’s Siri Magnusson therefore the referee stopped their unequal contest at the 51kg of the U19 age group.

Sweden’s best U19 boxer in the national team, Medina Zaman competed in various international competitions during her career but she was not enough shape against France’s Shanon Cabane today.

Germany’s Frankfurt-based Assia El-Fachtali competed in the 2025 edition of the European U19 Boxing Championships and the 18-year-old boxer was too strong for her compatriot, Aleksandra Gogolewska at the elite 54kg.
